2 E FAYETTE ST.10/19/03 Caregiver Mrs. Patricia Rudd had call about the one remaining cat living in the basement and daily cared by the men. Building owner allegedly planned to poison this last large male wo was living in the ceiling and visiting the men on the floor for meals and companionship. The owner allegedly ordered the poisoning of a dozen cats and kittens five years ago. These had been moving between the alley and the building. On 10/19/03, Herb trapped the big fellow. He received Our Vet Care at Eastern Animal Hospital and will be a backyard shed companion for the Rudd family.

ARBUTUS 10/29/03 9:30 AM While driving south on I95, Herb saw a deceased sandy labrador mix in the left drive lane. He pulled her onto the shoulder to see the family tag. Lilly the Lab had been adopted in Sept from Animal Rescue, Inc. She either wandered from her yard or was removed on 10/23/03. She had no external injuries but Howard County Animal Control said she had serious internal hemorrhages. Grace Froelich and Lilly's new family were given the very sad news.

CAROLINE ST. 10/28/03 Just before the torrential rainstorm, Herb trapped the young brown tabby cat living on the vacant lot. She had been crying which usually means a cat is tame. She was admitted to Eastern Animal Hospital on 10/29/03 for complete vet care. She was pregnant. Herb has her in safe custody.

Savage MD 09/30/03 A large adult beaver dead on westbound road.
He was crossing at a stream.
Then, 200 feet directly north on parallel Rte 32, a second beaver dead on shoulder. Both healthy with good body fat. A terrible loss.
10/24/03 This same spot, a healthy young fox killed by traffic. A yearling or less with thick fur and bushy tail.

Savage MD 10/15/03 10/22/03 10/30/03 The muscular black boy is present two years after his colony mates disappeared. Herb is feeding him.

I95 at Savage MD For more than a year, Katrina Smith of reptile rescue and Herb have been following the condition of one tuxedo male living in the big median on I95. Herb supplies weekly food for our buddy. Katrina has seen him: 08/10/02; 08/21/02; 09/08/03 7:30 energetically looking into the tall grass then again on 10/04/03 8:00 AM jaunting with intention. 10/06/03 5:45 PM Herb saw him peering into grass. Box of food today.

HILLSHIRE RD 10/06/03 Working with home owners trapped another two adults: one-eye mother who repeatedly has litters; the second one is solid gray. Our Vet Care at Eastern Animal then returned to homeowners. Released 10/08/03. 10/07/03 trapped wild calico kitten. Alternating growling, crying, wimpering in trap. Calmed after one hour. Our Vet Care at Eastern Animal 10/09/03 and returned to homeowners with crate set-up

PONCA TRUCKING 10/29/03 The Orange yearling spotted on lot. Security guard says he is staying on property.

10/15/03 Gray Mom returned to Lisa.
10/23/03 Little Grey/white mother seen for first time after return to Lisa. Mother had kittens 7/21/03 at Herb's house.
Five kittens were transferred to Diana Glass of Fur-Gotten Friends on 9/21/03. Mother remained with Herb until last week when she was spayed.

CAROLINE ST: 09/29/03 10/12/03 10/23/03 New small tabby seen four times. 10/15/03 Big Orange present. 10/27/03 The New Tabby is pregnant and hungry tonight. 10/28/03 Trapped the Tabby right before the rainstorm. She was pregnant and spayed on 10/29/03. She is tame and is in Herb's possession.

WASH - CASTLE ALLEY four homeless chicano men were pleasant. Forced $2.00 on each of them.

BAYLISS STOur grey/white fur girl appeared in usual place after months of watching. Maybe spotted her a month ago.
This is same girl that we attempted re-homing to Edgemere but returned her and Meow-Meow to their original neighborhood.
