04/01/04 "I released the female cat yesterday.
While I was there I saw 2 more adults coming from the abandoned house.
One was a female, not sure of the other one.
The lady who works next door trapped two kittens with my trap.
I'm picking them up on Saturday, unsure of the size or age.
There is one more kitten and at least four more adults.
Did you get in touch with Josh? Please Advise. Thanks, Mary"
04/03/04 "I received the 2 kittens from Milford Mill Road yesterday.
They are about 4 months old. The long haired one is very matted and dirty.
The other is a beautiful torti. There is 1 black long haired left.
Ruth said she would like Jen and Darryl to take over the trapping there.
I called Jen, but have not heard from her yet.
The woman who works there still has one of my traps. She wants to get the other kitten.
I have not handled them yet so I do not know how they are.
They are however very, very scared. Concerning the little black cat from Burger King,
I will not be able to take her until Thursday...
Would it be possible to put her in a transfer cage?
I think it will be easier to handle her since she does not know me.
Ruth Johnson told me it was cruel to try to make a feral cat a housepet. I do not agree.
Sometimes they just need a little TLC. I guess some would prefer to be outside,
but they deserve a chance if they are able to be handled. Mary."
